Me. Sort of. |
A clear IT architectural strategy, roadmap and blueprint can steer your enterprise to a successful future. However building these is not a trivial exercise. As I am currently working in a leadership role as Head of Architecture & Innovation, Chief Technology Architect , this is something I am familiar with, and actively pursuing in my day to day challenges
I can display a solid technical knowledge of Unix/Linux based operating systems, Clustering,Hypervisors, Kernel Tuning, Performance Tuning, Load Balancing, High Availability, Disaster Recovery and High End Storage Solutions.
On top of the above I hold a certificate in ITILv3 (2012) in addition to a Prince II Foundation certificate(2010). Additionally I have been introduced to Scrum, Kanban and Agile development methodologies. Too broaden my software engineering knowledge I also completed "Software Engineering for Software as a Service" at the university of Berkeley, California.
I am also perfecting my strategic thinking skills, firstly by completing "Model thinking" (University of Michigan, 2013) , completing my second Master (Master of Enterprise Architecture) and secondly by applying and integrating this acquired knowledge into daily decision making.
Adopting an enterprise cloud strategy is inevitable for any enterprise, but it should be well conceived. As such I am aiming to increase my skills and knowledge in this area to become an experienced guide for introducing and implementing this new IT business model. I am CCSK certified (2011) for proving my knowledge in the domain of Cloud Security, and am a Amazon Web Services Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (2015). If also completed numerous leadership courses (Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management), because change is at least as much about people as about technology.
I am used to learn quickly and to adapt to changing environments. I combine a no-nonsense approach with strong communication skills while evidently showing that experience, maturity and knowledge provide a good base for any mission. I am used to work independently, but enjoy working in a team, as a team.
Specialties: Linux, Unix, Clustering, Virtualisation, Public Cloud Computing, Hypervisors, Cloud Security, AWS, IT Architecture, IT strategy, IT governance.
